HD Video Production

Works

(Shown above: J Holley Media on location – Stratix, Debt Documentary)

At J Holley Media, you’ll receive only the best quality production at the best price. Whether your looking for a video for you website, wanting to develop a new television program for children, or hoping to hit it big with your newly developed product(s), you can’t go wrong when filming in HD (High-Definition).

Without getting too confusing for those of who who don’t wish to read a list of ratios and color line breakdowns, here’s what it boils down too: with HD video production you get more lines of color on the final output screen (TV, Computer, etc.) than you do with SD (Standard-Definition) video production. Also, the method by which HD is painted on your television or computer screen allows each frame of your video to appear as a whole image, thus giving you a super clear picture, rather than the old SD method which switches back and forth between odd and even numbered lines of color on your television screen, cutting your image quality at least in half. For an example of this, simply toggle between a SD channel and its coinciding HD channel on your television to see the quality difference. With cable companies making easy sales on HD packages, its a no-brainier that your clients will prefer to watch HD over SD any day. On your computer or iPod, the main difference between HD and SD is that HD can me magnified many times while maintaining picture quality, while SD picture quality quickly depletes as you enlarge the video for a closer look.

HD is easily the best choice for all your video production needs. And, while some production firm will up-charge for HD production, J Holley Media does not. We keep it simple – shoot everything in HD…period.

Tip of the Week

Each week, we release one tip for all of our visitors whom are seeking to build a new website or reconstruct their existing site. This week, with the unemployment rate still staggering, and many companies being forced to cut back labor costs, we would like to share some simple tips for those of you responsible for managing your website on a tight budget.

“Weighing the Options”

Although, J Holley Media would be honored to bring your website to life or simply reconstruct your existing site, we do understand that some business owners prefer to handle the task alone. For those of you with just enough technical expertise to be dangerous, and for others whom may currently not have the funding for professionally managed website design, you may consider online website softwares like intuit.com or homestead.com as a (temporary) alternative to your website needs.

While we only mentioned a couple in our article, there are hundreds of easy to use online website softwares to choose from. With a little help from google.com you should have no problem finding additional sites like the ones mentioned above. In the short-term, the type of website you can build with such a software will help you maintain momentum and continue working your way through the tough economy (and clients who, “want to see your website”). In the long-term, however, you may be limited as to the potential for your site to grow and the ability to create unique functions for your website, tailored specifically for your business, your clients.

In that case, look to the future, and create a plan for your website which includes:

1. Short-term and long-term goals for your website needs (try to imagine where your business is going and how your website can assist you in getting there); 2. a time frame for transferring your website management to a professional design firm; 3. and which firm will handle your website when the time is right.

Negotiate all of your pricing now, and get the quote in writing for a set period of time which coincides with your goals. Then, you’ll be able to budget and save for the website upgrade. For now, you may want to save a little money by using a site like intuit.com to fulfill your basic website needs during the interim.
